TNA Wrestling Reportedly Having Financial Problems?

Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer revealed that TNA Wrestling is having financial difficulties as talent and vendors are frequently paid late for their services on a delayed basis.

"Vendors and wrestlers are paid late all the time," he wrote on the F4WOnline.com message board. "Janice Carter controls the purse strings. Only a certain amount of money over what they bring in can be spent and it's prioritized where it goes."

Janice Carter, who is the mother of TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter, gained complete control of the company's purse strings in 2010 reportedly as to put a stop to her daughter's lavish spending sprees after their financial losses were more than parent company Panda Energy International was willing to tolerate. Meltzer reported in January that Carter has set a doctrine of only allowing TNA what is "deemed necessary" in terms of funding as to keep financial losses to a minimum.

“WWE’s developmental system is being revamped, not shut down. If anything, it’s going to get bigger and better than ever. WWE Developmental cultivates the future talent of WWE. By no means is it going to get smaller or shut down.”

Latest Update On A-Train Returning To WWE, To Feud With Top Star?

Matthew Bloom, who previously wrestled as Prince Albert, Albert and A-Train for WWE, denied on Twitter on Saturday that he has signed a contract to return to the promotion after WrestleMania XXVIII as he will be appearing for New Japan Pro Wrestling on their next tour. He also said that he does not know how the rumor got started, calling it "comical." F4WOnline.com reported that there has been talk of Bloom feuding with John Cena since the Raw Superstar does not have a post-WrestleMania XXVIII program in place at the moment. However, the note of Bloom possibly feuding with Cena has since been deleted.

Bloom, who will turn 40 years old in November, previously competed for WWE from 1999 to 2004 as a mid-card wrestler. He tore his rotator cuff in June 2004 and was released from his contract before returning from the injury. He would go on to achieve greater success in Japan as Giant Bernard in a tag team partnership with Karl Anderson.

Edge has been given a 10 minute time limit on his speech and the Horsemen as a group have a 10 minute limit.
